The installer will then install the files under a "new" mission folder - take all the content under this mission folder and move it into the "Cunderdin to Beverley Checkride" folder you've just created in your fsx\mission folder. Now reinstall it into a new folder that it not you FSX folder. To get the other missions back, first unintall and make a folder in your missions folder and call it something sensible like "Cunderdin to Beverley Checkride". I installed your mission but now can see no other missions in FSX I double checked the filters and all missions, all levels was selected.ĭo you know why this might have happened ? Never seen this happen before !! How do I uninstall and get my others back ? If you've not tried them, you are missing out as I was. and I have to say that as a default sim, they are the BEST part of FSX out of the box. Last thing I'd say is that I turned my nose up at the FSX Missions when FSX was released and dismissed them as 'games' - I only flew my first ever default mission a couple of weeks ago! (almost 3 years into FSX ownership). It's great fun but hard work - I am on 2 weeks hols from work, hence the time to work on the mission.

If you have a degree of imagination and creativity, I'd say anyone could create a mission, if they were willing to invest the time to learn the processes, and to 'write' their storyline. Everything you need to create a mission comes with FSX Deluxe (FSX Mission Editor SDK on the disk), but I spend a few weeks reading, researching and learning before starting my first mission. (So I can work on something new - bear in mind that the Cunderdin mission was my first FSX Mission, so they will only get better ).įSX Missions are time consuming and laboursome to build - it's not particularly about coding or programming skills, it's more about storyboarding, sequencing of events, mapping, etc. Hey folks, glad you got the downloading probs sorted - should all be ok now, V3 is current version and for this mission, I'd consider it as the finished version. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it! The mission is dedicated to the beautiful artwork of John and the Orbx team.
